Design
Since the mid-2000s the museum has consistently collected and researched works of design, extending its domain from contemporary art to design and architecture. The museum has housed original objects from Bauhaus, an art school of modern design and furniture designed by distinguished architects and designers such as Marcel Breuer and Mies van der Roge, as well as numerous design works influenced by these pieces.
The collection featuring an original Frankfurt Kitchen produced in 1927 reflects the museum's interest in overall living culture while the collection of children's chairs made from the early to mid-20th century demonstrates the modeling beauty that surpasses functionality with their diverse materials, colors, and designs.
