Modern Art
The museum has housed the works of Do Sang-bong, Oh Chi-ho, Lim Jik-sun and others who represent the modern Korean art scene as well as the works of Nam June Paik, Lee U-fan, Kim Whanki, Kim Tschang-yeol, Lee Dae-won, and others who have led the globalization of contemporary Korean art.
The museum collection is comprised of experimental works displaying the best Korean artists' crowning achievements and is thus a remarkable showcase of modern and contemporary Korean art history and value. The collection also includes the works of Korea's leading photographers such as Kang Woon-gu and Joo Myung-duck. The works collected through constant support programs for the rising artists form an important part of the collection.
