The Kumho Museum of Art's special exhibition And Afterwards introduces seven Korean artists who experiment with the formalistic language centered around painting. It delves into how these artists perceive their surrounding environments and realities, gaining insights into the human psyche and essence, and how they encapsulate these insights on paintings. It explores the multiple layers of stories each artist depicts using natural objects, figures, and items as subjects, thereby reflecting on the diversity and potential of painting. Moreover, the exhibition reexamines artists born in the 1980s who previously collaborated with the Kumho Museum of Art through past open-call programs. It explores their painterly journeys, which have consistently engaged with the expansion and variations of painting since their early careers. This exhibition will be an opportunity to probe various aspects of contemporary painting with emerging artists and gauge future directions.​​
