강이경 개인전 《우로보로스의 조각들 Altered Existences in Ouroboros》

​작가 강이경은 현대 도시공간에 드러나지 않는 구조와 표면 아래 숨겨진 세계를 탐색하고 이를 다양한 시각 언어로 실험한다. 그는 GPS 내비게이션 프로그램에서 버려진 공간 혹은 지하세계의 암흑물질처럼 현실 속 보이지 않는 공간에 대한 관심을 회화와 판화, 설치 작업으로 풀어낸다. 이번 전시에서는 물리학, 천문학, 지리학 등의 분야와 협업 과정에서 수집한 자료를 바탕으로 추출한 생경한 이미지들과 오브제, 건축적 구조물을 선보이며 자신만의 공간적 사유와 순환의 개념을 새롭게 제시한다. 더불어 가시적인 영역과 비가시적인 영역의 경계를 넘나드는 작업으로 확장된 시각적 경험을 유도한다.


Leekyung Kang explores undiscovered structures in contemporary urban spaces, as well as the world hidden beneath the surface, and experiments with them using multiple visual languages. Through paintings, prints, and installation works, she reinterprets her interests in invisible realms within reality, including abandoned areas in GPS navigation programs or the dark matter of the underworld. In this exhibition, Kang suggests her own spatial thinking and concept of circulation while presenting objects, architectural structures, and unfamiliar images extracted from data collected during collaboration across physics, astronomy, and geography. Moreover, she induces expanded visual experiences through work that transcends the boundaries between the visible and invisible.​
